AltText AI is a service that automatically generates alt text for images. You provide an image (via URL), and our AI returns a WCAG-compliant, SEO-optimized description in under 2 seconds.

What is AltText AI?

AltText AI generates descriptive alternative text for images using a specialized vision-language model trained specifically for accessibility and SEO. Unlike generic image captioning models, our AI understands WCAG guidelines and produces alt text that is:

  • Descriptive but concise — typically 80–125 characters, the sweet spot for screen readers
  • Contextually aware — understands product images, charts, photography, and decorative elements
  • SEO-optimized — includes relevant keywords naturally, not stuffed

How It Works

The process is simple:
